Logitech G110
The first thing you will notice when you get the G110 out of its box for the first time is its size – it’s BIG! Measuring a full 21 inches across you might think this would make the keyboard clumsy and obtrusive on your desktop, especially as most technology is becoming more and more compact. However, if you are looking for a gaming keyboard no doubt functionality is pretty high up on your list, and the extra keyboard room certainly adds to its functionality (see what owners of the G110 had to say).
The key size resembles those of 10 years ago, but the Logitech G110 Gaming Keyboard has added a stylish (and very useful) backlighting feature and taken away the annoying key clacking noise. To an avid gamer this means less mistakenly hit keys and more room for pre-programmable G keys (18 in total).
Pre-Programmable Keys
The 18 pre-programmable G keys allow you to assign custom macros, quick links to passwords or prewritten text and bookmarked web pages. These are set using profiler software provided by Logitech which is pretty easy to install and use, and doesn’t become an obtrusive addition to your taskbar.
This was one of the most enjoyable elements to play around with when writing this Logitech G110 Gaming Keyboard review, especially if you play frantically paced online games like we do. Set aside some time to think about how you will use each G key – 18 sounds a lot now, but you will soon be wishing for more.
Format & Media Control
The format of the keyboard is convenient and easy to use, partially due to the extra space given by such a large keyboard. The volume and media controls are simple to use and located in positions that your fingers would expect them to be. The only issue we had with the format of the keyboard was the downward angle that the support legs on the back provide – we would’ve liked to see it raise up slightly more, or even provide adjustable heights for different preferences.
